Big Hero Training Conference
EP, D19S
On Saturday, June 29, members from both D19S and D19N gathered for Big Hero-TC, which was held at Valley Park in Hermosa Beach. Attendees paid an admission fee of $5 and had the opportunity to attend a series of leadership workshops, which is shown in the visuals. Students gathered around, listening in as both LTGS spoke during the workshops. As a way to fundraise during the event, DLT and LGT pieing was held for students to participate in! Another fundraising event that was held at OTC was the night market, in which different high schools were able to sell items for attendees to purchase. To end the night, a bonfire was held as students sat around and enjoyed each other's company.
Officer Dares
CA, Upland, D15N
During the first of May, Upland Key Club hosted its annual Officer Dares in order to raise money for the Pediatric Trauma Program. On this day, we saw our Key Club officers executing various dares funded by other Upland High School students. These dares include “inhaling helium”, “a hundred squats”, “talk with the wall”, and many more to witness the playful suffering of our UHS Key Club board.
All Upland Key Club executives and appointed board officers were given at least one dare to complete. However, Ethan Chang, Upland Key Club’s Treasurer, had the most dares assigned to him, ranging from “wearing a full face of makeup” to “singing a song (chosen by the donator).” The day closed out with the most anticipated dares, “pie in the face” and “a bucket of water,” which were both done outside. Nadine, Ethan, Bryan, and Claudine were unfortunately unable to escape this dare and walked out with a face full of whipped cream. On the flip side, Nadine, Ethan, and Claudine were able to wash the sugar off their faces because along with Upland Key Club’s President, Paula, and their fundraising coordinator, Megan, they were all dared to be splashed with a bucket of water. Upland Key Club’s Officer Dares was a success in efficiently raising money for the Pediatric Trauma Program, and we look forward to closing our school year with Key Club spirit.
Los Gatos Clean Up

With the help of Key Club officers, Key Club members, and our wonderful advisor Nancy, the Los Gatos High School Key Club was able to find a new meeting spot for next year. On May 26th these officers and members helped clean out the clubhouse at the back of the school. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, the Los Gatos Key Club is ready to grow and invite new members to the club. On May 28th, all the Key Club members gathered together to have a party to celebrate the end of the year. We were able to enjoy this party at our new meeting spot, celebrating our graduating members and inviting new members to fill in their spaces.

As a combined event between D34 North, South, and Central, Key Club’s Got Talent brought together members and officers from the divisions to determine which Key Clubber is most talented. The event was well organized with decorations like a photo booth and food for everyone to enjoy while we watched the contestants battle it out. The competition's many rounds kept everyone entertained and built suspension around who would ultimately be crowned. Towards the end of the event, the divisions had their monthly DCMs and Ryan was decided as the winner by the judges, who were very impressed with his lip singing abilities and dedication to Key Club, among other talents that he demonstrated.
