Senior Pancake Breakfast
HD, River Valley, D14
On May 31st, River Valley had its Senior Pancake Breakfast. During this event, Key Clubbers assisted our Kiwanians with preparing pancakes and sausages. Also, we had poured orange juice and milk. After all the meals were prepared, we handed out the prepared breakfasts to the seniors. This is one of my favorite events to participate in because I was able to see my friends who are seniors before they graduate. Overall, the event was a success, and we were able to have many members attend the event!
May DCM
SL, Sutter Union, D14
This month’s DCM was held at Regency Park, where our end of the year Banquet was held to award each school on their achievements this year. We had a fun picnic where we discussed business and talked with other clubs to determine our new mascot for D14! They served pizza and handed out awards towards the end; our lieutenant governor also appointed the new DLT offer team! Sutter High School earned two Aim 25 Awards as well as a Retention Award for our campus club.
Park Clean Up at Rio Linda
JH, Pacifica, D42W
We got to spend time with our fellow members, getting to know each other better while making sure our local parks stay clean. We also provided cheese and pepperoni pizza and water bottles to our members.
End of Year Banquet
ZR, Selma, D05S
On June 2, 2024, we had our End of Year Banquet with 05 North. It was a bittersweet moment saying goodbye to the 2023-2024 Ltgs and welcoming the 2024-2025 Ltgs. There was delicious pasta, salad, and cake! Together with 05 North, we all reflected on the service hours we racked up, the PTP/YES! funds we raised, and the new members that joined, with both divisions exceeding or coming very close to exceeding their goals. As this was one of the last events the class of 2024 is attending, tears were shed but smiles were still bright on their faces. Closing a chapter is always hard, but it opens us to a brand new one. All in all, our banquet was very fun, bittersweet, and delicious.
Kiwanis Summer DCM
L.C., Maria Carillo, D32
On Saturday, June 1st, 2024, Division 32 of the Kiwanis family hosted a memorable Division Council Meeting (DCM) Summer Picnic at Lake Sonoma, Warm Springs Dam. The event marked a record-breaking attendance during the term of the current Lt. Governor, with 58 Kiwanians, 14 Key Club members, and two special guests from the Kiwanis Family House. The picnic saw a remarkable turnout from ten out of eleven Division 32 Kiwanis clubs, demonstrating a strong sense of community and engagement among the members.
Key Clubbers played a significant role in the success of the day, actively participating in organizing games, managing the BBQ under the sunny skies, serving lunch and drinks, and assisting with the cleanup process. Clubs like Cloverdale High School, Santa Rosa High School, and Maria Carrillo High School were notably active, contributing to the lively atmosphere and the overall smooth execution of the event. The day was not only about fun and fellowship but also about honoring significant contributions, with the Kiwanis Club of Cloverdale receiving special recognition for their longstanding support of Division 32.
