May DCM
GC, Clovis North, D05N
May DCM at the Clovis Rodeo grounds. We got caught up on the events of the division and schools therein. We also gave out rewards for club members and officers. Most importantly, we made stress balls for the Boys and Girls Club out of rice and balloons!
June DCM
AL, Crescenta Valley, D03N
The June DCM this year was an incredibly enjoyable slime social held at Two Strike Park! I arrived slightly late but was immediately super excited to be meeting other Key Club members from my region. Samantha, our LTG, had brought a lot of different supplies, and everyone was completely laser-focused on perfecting their slime recipes. My friend and I decided to capture our progress with a time-lapse video to keep the moment as a cherished memory. Meanwhile, others bonded over mixing various types of slime like crunchy, fluffy, clear, and glossy slimes, sharing personal stories with each other. Overall, the event was a blast, providing an excellent opportunity for us to connect and strengthen our bonds within the region. It was not just about making slime but also about building relationships and creating lasting memories together as a division. I am so excited to see what events our division holds next and to get closer with everyone in my division.
Seaside Marathon
DV, Oxnard, D42W
On Sunday, May 19th, we partnered with Pacifica Key Club to volunteer at the Seaside Marathon. Over 20 Key Club members participated in various activities throughout the event. These activities included setting up, handing out snacks and refreshments, awarding medals, and finally cleaning up the area and equipment. Many volunteers even went the extra mile by doing double shifts, dedicating their entire morning and afternoon to helping out. As a thank you for their amazing work, all volunteers received a free meal (tacos!). Thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to serve their community and ensure a positive experience for all marathoners. We truly appreciate you!
Spring Tea Party
AZC, Albany, D02N
On May 18th, our club volunteered at the El Cerrito community center for a local event called the Spring Tea Party. Members helped set up tables and chairs prior to the start of the event as well as helping deliver food and tea to tables during the event. KC members also helped clean up after the event as well.
