Cypress Key Club Rush

LA, Cypress, D30S

The last week of August was club rush season! Our board dedicated time in planning the most effective strategies to attract new members. What we did to lure in new members was that showed off our spirit, offered them pictures with our decorated picture frame, and sharing intriguing and fun facts about Key Club! This week turned out to be exceptionally successful for Cypress Key Club, as we achieved a total of 78 sign ups in joining our club! I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the future growth of our club, as we welcome more leadership-driven and passionate individuals who are eager to make a positive impact on our community and contribute to our rich history. During this month, we held our first two general meetings to introduce our potential new members to Key Club. We covered the basics of the club and its significance to the community. To encourage active participation, we organized service events. These events include assisting the Kiwanis with the pancake breakfast at our school and the annual Cypress Community Festival. Our second meeting focused on the dues, paid fees, and t-shirts. We were concerned that these expenses might discourage new members, so our board is actively working to subsidize the fees through fundraisers! Our first fundraiser of the school year will be held on Wednesday, the 24th, and we will be selling delicious cookies and snacks!
