Volunteer Resource Fair

An event I went to for Garden Grove Key club was the resource fair volunteering event. Upon arrival at the beautiful church I didn’t know what to expect, but the day I spent there was filled with pleasant surprises and new formed connections with the community.

I was able to interact with several different types of people from a variety of ethnicities and cultural beliefs, as I talked to them, I was able to widen my views on the society around me and gain a deeper understanding of the people in it. The volunteering experience provided valuable insight to the lives of people, from those who weren’t well off and to those who lived comfortably.

I was able to spread awareness to those in need by offering programs and meeting people who are like minded; overall this event was extremely fun and insightful in getting to know my club, the community, and people ranging from all ages.
